SAHAR

ANTHOLOGY

"PATHS CONVERGE AND A JOURNEY BEGINS"

The Sahar partnership was formed between three carpet enthusiasts each living on different continents . American, Haynes Robinson joined with Swiss national, Behrouz Sarlak and the young Persian carpet producer Hamed Derakhshan to form Sahar Carpets with our ethos of fusing minimalist contemporary design with organic materials and traditional production processes. The continuity of collections would be meticulously maintained through a disciplined process of using the design DNA of preceding collections to create Sahar's new design introductions bringing a sense of natural flow and evolution to the overall collection.

In 2006 it became apparent that for a variety of reasons, the Sahar production would not be sustainable long term in Iran. The partners took the decision to begin migrating the production to Jaipur India. This move gave renewed energy and enhanced capabilities to the team, inspiring a series of transformational collection over the ensuing years.
